The Infamous Masterson’s , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my recent visit at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I experienced behind its threshold was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The Condition of the Premises : Squalid and Neglected
From the moment I stepped inside , it was clear that hygiene was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of stale beer and neglected washrooms polluted the entire establishment . Smelling a mixture of ammonia , a rotting odor and a sickly smell. Many patrons have reported spotting critters darting across the drink station and proof of vermin in the storage spaces . For a business that serves drinks , these issues are completely unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the integrity of the food and drinks .
